Benito Menni Hospital Started as a Health Centre in 2001 by the Congregation of Sisters Hospitallers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, an international Roman Catholic Religious female congregation founded by St. Benedict Menni in Spain in the year 1881.

The mission of the congregation seeks to be consistent with its origin and response to present challenges. Its purpose and practice reveals the relevant and concrete mission of serving people in their suffering and needs by offering in a various ways, the good news to encounter healing, integrates, generate and foster humanity and holistic care. The congregation does so by providing specialist and preferential care for people with mental illness, physical and learning disabilities with special preference for the poor.

From its establishment, the facility has been providing, care for the people with mental illness alongside provision of general healthcare. The hospital ensures that it provides holistic healthcare to the people it serves taking into consideration the less privileged in the society.
