BRIEF HISTORY OF THE HOSPITAL
BENITO MENNI HOSPITAL – ADANSI DOMPAOASE
(CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF OBUASI-ASHANTI, GHANA)
Benito Menni hospital is a catholic health facility of the catholic diocese of Obuasi in the Ashanti
Region. The facility is run by the Sisters Hospitallers of the sacred heart of Jesus in conjunction
with the diocesan department of health. It is also a member of the Christian health association of
Ghana (CHAG)
The Hospital started as a health center and began operation in June 2001. It gained hospital
status in February 2015 when it was able to satisfied condition and services of the Health
Facility Regulatory Agency – Ghana (HEFRA)
LOCATION: The hospital is located at Adansi Dompoase in the Adansi North District of the
Ashanti Region of Ghana, serving a population of over 30,000 of Dompoase Community and its
environs
